To create these backgrounds I used several different programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and Cinema 4D. To start of one of the backgrounds I would first decide what color scheme to use for example on the top image I had chose to use a sepia color scheme after picking the color scheme I would then open up cinema 4D and then create the text for the piece, I did this by using the moGrapth text tool in cinema 4D and then I grafted the text that I think is suitable for the design, I would then drag this text into photoshop and tweak it by overlaying textures and light effects on to it, I would then begin adding the background effects to the final background and then put the text on top of this and then add any final touches.
